Bespoke Safari Journeys
Guided by Yannick Bindert
Your Safari Journey
There are many aspects a safari can take: Whether you are looking to travel in comfortable luxury or adventurous ruggedness, I pride myself in organizing a trip that perfectly fits your interests and needs. Above all a safari is a nature experience, bringing us closer to a world we have become increasingly disconnected with.
The main goal of a safari is to observe wildlife displaying behavior in their natural environment. Ideally this is done without being noticed at all, but that is often not possible so I make sure we stay at a respectful distance. The animals may approach us on their own terms and it is always a privilege when it happens.
I do my utmost to fit the journey to your specific interests and needs: whether you are keen to add to your photography work with shots of the wilderness, see how many bird species we can spot and hear over the course of a day, spend some downtime with snoozing lions after experiencing a close encounter with elephants, or enjoy a refreshing sundowner drink at the end of the day.

Expect great camaraderie, client-focused service, and expert guidance from a professional wildlife photographer and guide who knows the land and its inhabitants intimately. Each safari is meticulously planned with seamless logistics, exclusive access to prime wildlife areas, and a strong emphasis on ethical, respectful wildlife encounters.
-
Yes. Private safaris are available for individuals, couples, or small groups who choose to enjoy a flexible itinerary and have the freedom to focus on the wildlife and photography you care about most.
-
Our safaris are designed to be exclusive and intimate, therefore the group size is limited to 4-6 guests per trip. This ensures you have plenty of space on the game-viewer to be comfortable, have a good view, and store what gear you might need to.
-
I recommend a minimum of 5 nights if you are staying in the same place, and a minimum of 8 nights if you are visiting different countries during your safari. This ensures you have enough time in each wilderness area to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.
-
Depending on the region you will be visiting, you can expect to see big cat species like lions, cheetahs and leopards; some of the African megafauna like elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and hippos; the iconic herds like wildebeest, zebras, and antelope species; along with plenty of other special sightings such as birds, reptiles, and insects.
-
Yannick is a professional wildlife photographer and seasoned naturalist. He not only knows where to find the animals but also how to help you capture the perfect shot-from camera settings and composition to behaviour prediction and finding the best perspective in natural light.
-
Not at all. Our safaris welcome photographers of all levels-from beginners to professionals. Whether you're learning to use your first camera or fine-tuning your wildlife portfolio, our guides adapt to your experience and help you grow your skills.
-
Bring your preferred camera body and at least a wide-angle lens (for landscapes and scenes) and a telephoto lens (for wildlife). It can be useful to bring a second camera body to avoid having to switch lenses on the go. Extra batteries and memory cards are essential, and a cleaning kit is always good to have along. We also provide a detailed pre-departure gear and packing guide for every safari that is specifically geared towards the region and season.
-
We recommend booking 8 to 24 months ahead, especially for popular destinations and migration periods. Early booking ensures availability and allows us to create a custom itinerary best suited to your needs.
-
Each itinerary is designed to align with optimal wildlife behaviour and light conditions for photography. The dry season, from April to October, offers better viewing opportunities as the bush is bone dry and animals congregate around water points. While the wet or green season, from October until February, sees the bush explode with lush vegetation and gives the opportunity to observe some new-born animals, at the cost of risking getting rained out. The number of bird species that can be observed also drastically increases during this time.
-
Yes. Multi-country safaris give you an opportunity to witness a variety of habitats and wildlife. Our itineraries are planned with maximum travel efficiency in mind, so that you don’t lose time with logistics and spend as much time in the wilderness as possible.
-
